We are not only organic but also nature-friendly. Labor friendly too. So, it is bio farming or natural agriculture. It is the coexistence based on Ahinsa principles. We believe everybody and everything has a place in nature and the environment.
During last 50 to 60 years period, the world has produced much more food than ever at any point in time of its history. We did more genetic modifications or manipulations for food production than ever before. We have applied various chemical fertilizers, weedicides, insecticides, growth hormones or food production, and processing related chemicals than ever before. There have been many positives and negatives of doing that.
So, today is the time to seriously think about reversing this trend. We must nurture organic agriculture. We should think of producing food free from harmful chemicals – – whether what we apply are fertilizers or weedicides or any other types of agro-chemical. In my view, the human body has started showing its limits to threshold levels. Nature has started showing its resistance to the wrong agriculture. So, we should think of moving towards natural agriculture, organic tea, and organic coffee. We must also think of nature-based vegetables, grains, or ecosystem approach to the overall land-use system.
That is why we should go for organic food. I am an organic farmer who does not think we can feed the entire world today through organic agriculture (alone). Yet, we need to start as soon as possible.
